YemCo is the Young European Meat Committee of the UECBV – European Livestock and Meat Trades Union. Since it started in 2001, YemCo serves as the leading think tank of over 400 young executives and managers for European commercial and industrial firms engaged in livestock and meat business.
Our objectives at YemCo
- Prime forum for exchanging ideas and experiences amongst members at European level.
- Analysis of all key areas in relation to the meat industry (e.g. consumption pattern, retail, technology, international trade, food safety etc.)
- Elaboration of proposals supported by concrete recommendations.
- Development of methods and models to increase competitiveness and profitability of the mem-bers’ enterprises and the European meat industry.
- Establishment of a wide network of young professionals in the European meat industry, allowing for cross-border cooperation and greater business opportunities.
